NINJA BEARS!

Who can honestly deny love for plush toys? I think it is fair to say that those who do not have a love for plush toys are usually the ones who grow up to be psychopaths of some kind (or spinster librarians). Since I am not a psychopath (or librarian) I too have a love for plush toys – the cuter the better – and I would like to share with you a New Zealand lass who feels the same.

Jenna Adam started making adorable things to sell from home at the end of 2010 where she founded Chibi Crafts and Design. The most lovely of her creations are her ninja bears that come in many ever changing designs. a Lot of the ninja’s designs are inspired directly from videos games, anime, pop culture, et cetera, but are only hinted at their origins – an example would be the Super Red and Super Green ninjas who happen to have mustaches and be plumbers. Jenna Adam is currently working on her second series of bears with ten super-cute new designs that have been released so far.

It is Always Too Late

I shall not lie to you when divulging the origins my discovery of the designer brand “Too Late“: I discovered the company in an old MissHannahMinx video. As think about it more and more the less I am ashamed: the videos are made for watching and watched it I did.

Too Late was not create by a designer wishing to make their name in the fashion world, but by an entrepreneur who found a silicone watch in a New York MOMO store and decided that he could make something of that simple yet effective design. Ale Fogazzi acquired the distribution rights of that now-famous watch in 2007 and built the Too Late brand around it. Since then well over two million watches have been sold, proving that the company’s formula of ‘high-end yet affordable’ is winning over consumers world-wide.

Whilst the majority of the products from Too Late are of the time-telling variety, they have branched out with bracelets, wallets, handbags, USB flash drives, belts and even a bicycle. Even though I cannot say that the bright colours of Too Late’s signature silicone look is something that appeals to me directly, their subtler Neo and Nyx watches do tempt me greatly.

Wristwatches Intent on Reinventing the Wheel

One Thing I have been enthralled in whilst absent from the world of blogging is a company by the name of TokyoFlash Japan. TFJ do one thing and one thing only, and that is create the most unusual and interesting watched that you are most likely to ever see. Not only so but they also create these little enigmas strange from the public’s submissions to their blog.

The following are some of the watches they sell or have sold in the past:

Kisai RPM SS LED Watch
Kisai Rogue Touch Pocket Watch LED Watch Kisai Rogue Touch Pocket Watch LED Watch
Kisai Kaidoku LCD Watch Kisai 3D Unlimited LCD Watch
Kisai Seven LED Watch Nekura Scramble LED Watch
Kisai On Air Black LED Watch

I will be sure to include a compilation of some of the best user-submitted designs that are currently pending approval, in a future post…

Prada (I know, I know)

Hey groovy kids, Pino is back on the interwebs and ready to do what I do fairly okay at!

I know I have ranted and raved about how pathetic Prada are if they think decent human beings are going to spend USD$1500 on a shoulder bag or USD$240 on a pair of casual flats, despite the fact that their clothing isn’t usually that innovative (at least when push comes to shove), but after seeing their 2010 spring campaign I just had to show it to you folks (I still wouldn’t buy ANY of it and I encourage you all to buy well made fakes in defiance).

Needless-to-say, Yang Fudong, the photographer and mind behind this campaign, has outdone himself.

A Clothes Rack That Dries Your Clothes for You

What can I say, this little gadget blows air through the hollow hangers and then folds up to a tiny 250*520*320.
